Create Your Own Ceramic Finger Labyrinth!

The Finger Labyrinth class will not be held on Wednesday September 28th, 2011.

Another class will be offered in early 2012.

Join Jenny Davies-Reazor and Carol Maurer as we play with clay and spiral inwards. On Sept. 28th we will learn about the history, uses and types of labyrinths and then create our very own personal labyrinth. Then on Oct. 12th return to center to pick up your glazed and fired labyrinth, experience a labyrinth walk and enjoy a pot-luck meal with new friends.

Intro to Open Education: Homeschooling to Unschooling!

Open Connections, an educational resource center and learning community for young people and their families, is giving a presentation for those just starting out with home education or for those interested in pursuing home education. This two-hour presentation provides parents and guardians with information on how to comply easily and fairly with the state law and how to create the educational path that is right for their family.

The discussion includes numerous examples of resources and alternatives to conventional curricula. This is a free presentation and is held several times a year.
