Union Ramp Park

The People at Union Ramp Park want you to know that their park is a great place for homeschoolers to come have fun while fulfilling Phys. Ed. requirements and socializing with other kids!

Union Ramp Park is a 22,000 Sq. ft. indoor ramp park that caters to skateboarders, bmx bikers, in-line skaters, and kids who ride scooters. They provide kids with a safe, fun, and most importantly positive environment in which they can relax and perform a physical activity in a stress-free atmosphere. The staff is helpful and friendly, often joking around with the customers or sharing tips on how to improve. Everyone working there, rides there as well. Creating a nice sense of community in the park.

They even have someone on staff who was homeschooled and used his visits to the park to fulfill his Phys. Ed. requirement!

Union Ramp Park provides everything a child needs in their park including protective equipment like helmets and pads, skateboard, scooter, or bike if they don't bring one. They are happy to work with and accomodate large groups as well as providing a private room in which they can gather, talk, and socialize together.

Sounds like a great place for a field trip or a regular park day event!

Fencing!

Trish and her son, Junior, take fencing lessons together through the Salisbury Fencing Club in Maryland. Trish says their classes are nothing formal, just good exercise and something for mother and son to do together. However, some members of the club are at the competing level. Their instructor, Angela, was on the Olympic Team in the 1970's.

The club has a website:
http://www.salisburyfencingclub.com/

Just an additional note for aspiring thespians, fencing is a skill that looks good on your theatrical resume'!
