Students will enjoy this interactive learning experience of Latin American sounds and rhythms! In this workshop, SIORA, a contemporary world jazz ensemble that plays music from around the world, will teach two distinct rhythms from "south of the border": Afro-Cuban 6-8 rhythm and Brazilian samba. The workshop involves a multi-layered audience performance, including vocals and hands-on experiences with various instruments, ending with a carnival dance lesson from Brazil!Following the workshop, take your students through the galleries and view the Museum's permanent collection and special exhibition, The Baroque World of Fernando Botero.
