Pottery with the Hand and Wheel

Ages 9 and up.
Become familiar in this class with a variety of ways for creating functional and sculptural works from clay. Methods and techniques for both hand-building and wheel throwing will be taught. This fun and informative class will also cover the important area of surface design, using glazes, slips and other innovative ways to create useful and attractive works. John Wilson holds a BFA, Emporia State U; has taught K-12 in Brandywine School District.
Theatre Arts: Let’s Put on A Play

Tuesdays, 1:30-3:30 pm,
January 20 – March 26 (10 weeks)

Ages 7 and up.
Learn improvisation, mime, voice control, projection and character roles, techniques used by professional actors in performing their roles. Young actors and actresses will take part in all aspects of staging a play, including scenery design and construction, costumes and acting. Students will perform play the last day of the session. Pat Jordan holds a BA in Theatre Arts, Villanova Univ.; actress in films, musicals and dramas.
Creative Writing

Thursdays, 1:00 – 3:00 pm,
January 22 – March 26 (10 weeks)

Ages 7-12. Explore, discuss, and respond to exciting, imaginative literature. Students will create fictional stories, newspaper articles, poems and more! Learn to write creatively using descriptive language, interesting plots and character development. Student interests will help drive the direction of this course. Jill Rosenfeld has an MA in Curriculum and Instruction, Gratz College; BA, Elementary Education, Ryder U.
