Admission:
$6 per person in addition to museum admission.

Tours are handicap accessible.
(Children under 6 not permitted on these tours.)

N.C. Wyeth House and Studio
The house where N.C. Wyeth raised his extraordinarily creative children and the studio in which he painted many of his memorable works of art have been restored.

Kuerner Farm
For more than 70 years, the Kuerner Farm was a major source of inspiration to Andrew Wyeth.

Philadelphia Museum of Art ~ Museum Classes for Homeschoolers!

Programs for the following age groups:

Ages 3-4 (Preschool)


Ages 5-7 (Grade K-2)


Ages 8-11 (Grades 3-6)

Age 12-17 (Grades 7-12)

The program consists of 2 hour classes held monthly on every first Wednesday from October to June. The theme of each class changes from month to month. Participants are divided into small groups by age, and each group works with the same Museum Educator throughout the year. Each class takes place in the Museum’s permanent galleries, and is designed to be an interactive lesson that encourages students to examine objects and ideas through a variety of activities including discussion, drawing, writing, role playing, and games. Preschool age group class will have a book read to them the galleries, look at original works of art that relate to the book, and make an art project to take home. The Preschool classes are from 10 am-11:45 am.

Fees:

$8 per class - museum members

$10 per class - non members

Chaparones fees:

$4 per class members

$5 per class non members

$1 off each class when signing up for 4 or more classes.

Meet Local Artist Robert Jackson ~ Discussion and Book Signing!


WHAT:
Bob Jackson will discuss his art and a new book about his art in a lively and informal chat. Robert C. Jackson Paintings contains 130 images of Jackson's paintings with details, photographs of the artist at work, sketchbook reproductions, and an interview. Jackson is one of a group of contemporary artists dedicated to preserving the great American still life. Copies of the book are available in the Brandywine River Museum Shop for $59.99 (hard cover).

Italian Water Ice at Rita's

For the past 19 plus years, Rita's has been giving away a free, regular size Italian Ice to each and every guest to mark the first day of spring! In 2011, Rita's guests showed their spring spirit and over 1.2 million cups of Italian Ice were given away in a ten hour period!

Rita's annual giveaway will be held on Tuesday, March 20 from noon to 9 p.m. at all open Rita's locations. This is surely a tasty tradition that you won't want to miss!
