Student Music Workshop at the Delaware Art Museum!

Students will enjoy this interactive learning experience of Latin American sounds and rhythms! In this workshop, SIORA, a contemporary world jazz ensemble that plays music from around the world, will teach two distinct rhythms from "south of the border": Afro-Cuban 6-8 rhythm and Brazilian samba. The workshop involves a multi-layered audience performance, including vocals and hands-on experiences with various instruments, ending with a carnival dance lesson from Brazil!

Following the workshop, take your students through the galleries and view the Museum's permanent collection and special exhibition, The Baroque World of Fernando Botero. Space is limited. Please register by Friday, May 2, 2008.
