Bootless Artworks is extending an offer of a free performance for students at the Arden Gild Hall!This holiday season don't miss the North American premier of an adaptation of The Velveteen Rabbit!
Bootless Artworks worked with a very talented Australian composer over the summer to put together a lovely, family friendly puppet musical version of the work. The cast incorporate live actors playing the roles of The Boy, Nana, Doctor and The Dewdrop Fairy with other actors performing with puppets for Velveteen (until he turns real, of course), Skin Horse, Rag Doll and other nursery toys. This puppets are sized and operated much like Avenue Q and The Muppets. The run time is about 60 minutes.
Bootless Artworks has also created a teacher/student workbook which will be handed out to all educators attending the performances. In addition, the composer is videotaping a pre-show welcome with an introduction to the work!
