Ages 8-14 Rachel Barton

Tuesdays, April 12-June 7th 12:45-2:15 pm YHS406-01 Fee: $95

A brand new course featuring a potpourri of Shakespeare’s most well known tragedies and comedies. Students will perform staged scenes and monologues from plays they select as well as learn to interpret the literature. It’s a wonderful way to discover his most famous works and to live the times in which he lived.

CREATIVE DRAMATICS

TREASURE TRUNK THEATRE

Ages 4-6 Rachel Barton

Creative Dramatics/Treasure Trunk Theatre allows imagination and creativity to abound in fun filled theatre games specifically designed for the preschool crowd. Young Actors will learn to explore their feelings and thought processes while gaining the confidence and poise to express them. Self-confidence, positive interaction with others, self-expression, and spontaneity will be emphasized through our entertaining theatre games. We will create costumes and props to enhance our performance skills. Families are invited to watch our stage performance during the last class.

HISTORY COMES ALIVE

SHAKESPEARE FOR HOMESCHOOLERS

Ages 8-14 Rachel Barton

Our popular home school course where performing Shakespeare can be such a fun experience as students learn to interpret and perform one of his plays in an abridged version as well as learn about his historical and literary significance. As an added bonus, we will explore the times in which he lived and bring history to life as we develop real or imaginary characters and how they intertwined with the Bard. A dynamic way to learn history as well as performance skills with a final Shakespearean performance for families and friends. All the World’s A Stage!
