Beginning Jewelry for Teens

(Ages 14 and up)—This course will follow the process of jewelry-making from concept-on-paper to wearable 3D art. Students will learn the basic jewelry-making techniques such as sawing, filing, drilling, and joining metal in order to create a ring or pendant of their own design. Soldering will also be touched upon, and students will also be introduced to chain making techniques in order to incorporate movement in their pieces.
