K is for Kids: a Family Day

10 am - 3 pm
Families are invited to this fun-filled day all about reading and writing! Share the “Glory of Stories” with the Delaware Art Museum, meet Mother Goose, sign up for a New Castle County library card, make alphabet crafts, and read stories to service animals. Visitors who bring in a new or used children’s book receive $3 off admission.
Included with all admission tickets. Members, free.

Don’t miss this alphabetical introduction to Winterthur’s diverse collection of decorative art objects. This family-friendly exhibition explores intriguing objects in the Winterthur collection and studies early methods of reading education. For visitors of all ages!

Jane Yolen, the acclaimed children’s book author, poet, novelist and storyteller, will serve as the Honorary Ambassador of the exhibition, and will be at Winterthur for a weekend series of special events on April 18-20, 2008. This exhibition is made possible by the generous support of: DuPont; the Max and Victoria Dreyfus Founation Inc; Mrs. Patrick Healy III; the F. M. Kirby Foundation; the Laffey-McHugh Foundatio; and Potter, Anderson & Corroon LLP.

Winterthur Museum and Country Estate is located on Route 52 between I95 and Route 1.
